Frequently Asked Question (FAQ)

  • Your first session is a space to talk about what brings you to therapy, what you hope to change, and what support looks like for you. We’ll move at a pace that feels comfortable, focusing on understanding your goals and building a sense of safety and collaboration. There is no pressure to share more than you’re ready for — therapy unfolds step by step.

  • Therapy can be helpful for anyone feeling overwhelmed, stuck, anxious, disconnected, or navigating life transitions. You don’t need to be in crisis to benefit. Many people seek therapy simply to gain clarity, improve relationships, or build healthier coping patterns. If you’re curious about change, therapy can be a supportive place to begin.

  • I integrate trauma focused approaches including EMDR, hypnotherapy, strategic therapy, and REBT. Each method is chosen thoughtfully based on your needs and comfort level. Therapy is collaborative; we decide together what feels most helpful.

  • Yes. This is currently the only platform that I work with. No in person sessions for now.

Sessions are offered through secure telehealth platforms, allowing you to attend therapy from the comfort of your own space. Many clients find this format convenient and effective.

  • Appointments are scheduled online through a secure booking system. Payment is collected before the start of the session. This helps protect your reserved time and keeps the process simple and transparent.

  • Life happens. I ask for at least 24 hours notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations or missed appointments may be subject to a fee, which is explained in your intake paperwork.

  • Approaches like EMDR and hypnotherapy are designed to support healing without overwhelming you. We move slowly, prioritizing safety, stability, and emotional regulation before any deeper work begins. You remain present and in control throughout the process, and sessions are guided so emotional experiences feel manageable and supportive.

Therapy is always tailored to the individual. I assess readiness before introducing these modalities and continue to monitor how your nervous system responds. If something feels like too much or a different pace is needed, we adjust. Healing is collaborative. Your comfort and safety guide every step.

  • It’s a joking question; but a very common one! Clinical hypnotherapy isn’t stage hypnosis. You stay present, aware, and fully in control the entire time. The goal is healing and nervous system regulation, not entertainment.

No surprise behaviors, no loss of control, and no chickens involved.
